The Space In Between

The space in between. Times of transition. Leaving the old behind, reaching for the new. Not quite there yet. Trust. Trusting the process. Trusting yourself. Trusting that the new will come into existence fully in its time. Trusting your instincts. Trusting your intuition. Trusting others involved in the process with you. Trusting the higher good. Not giving up because you can’t yet see the full results and it may look dark and glum.

The space in between the breath, both full and empty. Inhale, the space in between is full. Holding space for all that is. Exhale. Letting go. The space inbetween is empty, void, open to receive. Expansive, trusting, not panicking. Letting go of expectations and judging. Open. Open to receive all that is waiting for me. Willing to wait, to stay calm, steady, believing that what is for me will be manifested in its time. Anticipation. Be ready, be observant, be vigilant. Notice the positive changes, ever so slightly growing, developing, maturing, coming into full bloom.

This breath cycle is so amazing! Each part of the cycle serves its own purpose yet each part is dependent on the whole. Each part is necessary.

Inhale. Breathing in, taking in oxygen, taking in the life force, expanding. Expanding the chest, the lungs, the belly. Pushing the breath to all the cells of the body, to the furthest extremities.

Holding at the top of the breath. Acceptance. Holding the tension of receiving something new, unsure of how it will play out, what it will look like when it is complete. Holding with anticipation of the good things to come. Embracing all the possibilities.

Exhaling. Letting go of that which no longer serves me but which will benefit someone else. Like the carbon dioxide benefiting the plants. Willing to let go. I can not hold on to it. I must let go to receive the new, the fresh. Empty out all of my breath, sighing and groaning, until all of the air is depleted. Emptied.

Sitting at the bottom of the breath, emptied out and open to receive, willing to consider the ocean of infinite potential, the ocean of all possibilities. The mind is clear, focused, trusting, anticipating the new that is to come. The relaxation, anticipation of joy, openness, arms outstretched, palms open, head held high, face looking up. Fully emptied of the old that no longer supports me but not yet receiving the new. Anticipation, excitement, joyousness, calm, tranquil, peaceful, serenity.

Long, full breath in. Inhale the freshness, the newness, expanding, receiving more of the life force. Receiving all that is for me. And so the life cycle continues. Breath after breath. Inhale, hold at the top, exhale, sit at the bottom. Each breath a new opportunity to receive and to let go. To grow. To become. To be intentional. To be open to receive all that is for me. To let go of that which no longer serves me. Every breath is an opportunity to start over. To begin again.

I love who I am. I love who I am becoming. I set myself up to be successful every day by being aware of the space in between my inhales and exhales.
