About the event
As of 2024, the global landscape of violence and conflict is highly alarming. Armed conflicts
are at their highest levels since 1946, with a record number of 59 conflicts recorded in 2023.
In 2023 alone, over 122,000 people died from conflicts, with Ukraine and Gaza being the
deadliest zones.
Meanwhile, violent interactions on social media are also surging. Far-right extremism,
harassment, and hate speech have escalated, particularly in politically charged
