"I think with special needs you can engage it 3 ways. Either you have the fear-based

bullying and teasing tactic, or you are silent and ignore it, or you lean in. Both of the

first two are unhelpful, one is just diabolically wrong. But the third is a choice. It’s a

decision. It’s a plan. I am guessing any of you here are not in the fear place, you just

don’t know how to enter in. But I want to encourage you. Reach out. Open yourself

up. Say hello. Make a friend."
