As a coach committed to living and working from a place of integrity, I hold the ICF Core Competency of Ethical Practice as sacred ground. At Integer, we believe coaching is not just a profession—it’s a relational space where authenticity, connection, and wholeness are cultivated. This space must be rooted in safety, clarity, and deep respect for the human experience.
🔒 The Foundation of Trust
Ethical practice is more than a set of rules—it is a daily choice to embody integrity. This means being truthful, transparent, and congruent in what we say and do. When I show up authentically with clients, I model the very wholeness I invite them to explore within themselves.
I honor the stories my clients bring—sometimes tender, sometimes raw—and I hold those stories with reverence. Confidentiality isn’t just a legal guideline; it’s a sacred trust. It is the container that allows the coaching relationship to deepen, where transformation unfolds in the presence of safety and nonjudgment.
🌍 Honoring the Individual
We are each shaped by our identities, values, histories, and environments. At Integer, we recognize that to coach ethically means to coach with humility and cultural awareness. We listen not just for words, but for worldview. We remain open to being educated by our clients, honoring their wisdom and experiences. Ethical coaching requires the courage to be curious, the discipline to check our assumptions, and the grace to meet people where they are.
🛠️ Knowing Our Role
Part of ethical coaching is knowing when coaching is not enough. We are not therapists, consultants, or healers—we are coaches. And when clients need support beyond our scope, referring them to the appropriate resources is not a failure—it’s an act of care. We don’t try to be everything; we commit to being what we are: present, clear, and aligned partners in the journey toward wholeness.
🌟 Living the Code
Upholding the ICF Code of Ethics isn’t just about compliance—it’s about alignment. It is how we stay connected to our values, to our clients, and to ourselves. When ethics become a lived practice rather than a checklist, we cultivate the conditions for true transformation to occur.
At Integer, we believe that wholeness is not something we give to others—it is something we recognize, reflect, and nurture in partnership. Ethical practice is the foundation that allows this partnership to thrive.
